The good thing about serving God is that it teaches us two
things: HOPE and HUMILITY.
It gives us HOPE that despite our brokenness, sins,
failures, tantrums and shortcomings that we can still stand up and serve Him.
That He will accept our offerings not because we are holy but because He is.
That despite all the reasons not for us to be accepted – He still trusts us to
represent Him and be His heart and hands on earth.
At the same time, it teaches us HUMILITY. Humility because
we know we could have not done all
this apart from Him. We know just like anybody
else that we are in the process of being changed from glory to glory each day. We
cannot boast of anything except the power of Christ in us and through us. It
does not matter what your role is, whether big or small. What matters is you do
it with a broken spirit and a contrite heart – and leaving the results to the
Lord.
Still, the greatest honor and privilege a person can have is
to serve His Lord and King.
